Our quilting classes are for everyone from novices who want to learn to quilt to our more advanced Judy Niemeyer classes with our certified Judy Niemeyer instructor. There is something for everyone. In our Beginning Quilting class, you learn the basics of quilting and make your first lap quilt. Other quilting classes learning the newest quilting techniques and nclude great items as quilts, table runners, handbags, and other cool projects. These classes will to continue to challenge and grow your quilting skills as you make life-long friends!
If you choose to bring your own sewing machine, it must be in good working order. You must have a 1/4" presser foot that fits your machine. We have for purchase 1/4" snap-on presser feet that fit Brother, Baby Lock and other brand machines but not all (they do not fit the Singer Curvy models) A walking foot or dual feed will be very helpful also.
You may use our machines in the shop if you like since we have both feet for our machines, but they are very limited in number. Please let us know during registration if you would like to use the shop machines.
This beginning machine quilting class is for those students who want to learn to start and finish a quilt, learn about how to choose proper fabric selections for a quilt, learn the skills of accurate piecing and the 1/4" seam allowance, learn proper pressing techniques for quilting, marking, basting, machine quilting and binding.
You will have a completed quilt when you graduate from this class. Danger! Homework assignments will be made!!
Date: Thursdays for 6 weeks - Feb 9,16,23, Mar 2,9 & 16.

We will have a beginning quilt kit available at a discounted price for new students. It includes many of the basic quiltors tools that are necessary.
Ask at registration! You must pay in full to reserve your spot due to the overwhelming popularity of this class. So sign up early to reserve a seat!
we do recommend that you stop in before the first class to choose your colorway for your quilt. It's a great pattern and fun to make!

String Quilt Revival
What do you do with all those scraps that we always seem to have left over? Well, String Piecing of course. Really neat technique to use these up and make fabulous quilts or other projects. Book contains 13 projects from quilts, runners, potholders, shams and lots of others. There will be a sit and sew following class.
It’s very addictive. Ask me how I know that? One student said “the patterns really make you come alive, and keep thinking about which one to do next. I can impress even the most experienced quilter with the quilts I’m able to make using this technique”.

Tea Time Placemats (Set of 4)

Tea Time Placemats - Cute, fun, small, quick, and striking, these little leaves are sure to impress at any tea time gathering! Even though they are paper-pieced they are fast! No experience needed. Complete (4) four placemats, complete with quilting, in less than a day. Use the newest paper piecing technique, called Curved Paper Piecing, to add the vein element of the leaf. With a simple binding around the shape of the paper pieced element, these little leaves can be hung on a wall in a collage, or placed on a table as a feature element. You can also create a background and applique the leaf to the top, if you like! Cost: $29 class fee plus complete pattern of $22.50 which includes foundation pieces.
Cappuccino 4 Placemats and Matching Table Runner

Grab those jelly rolls you have stashed away and join us making this pattern to create 4 wonderful placemats and a matching tablerunner, or 6 placemats. Use (1) one jelly roll or cut your own strips (we can cut them for you!) Learn this innovative paper piecing technique. It's a fun and small project, quick and striking! No experience needed.
